Our Hosting Terms — The Short Version
When you host with 4Development.Net, you’re working with a small, hands-on service built around trust, fairness, and common sense. These notes summarise how things work.
We provide tailored web hosting and technical support for small businesses and individuals. That covers website setup, domain management, updates, and general maintenance — all on reliable shared servers. Every setup is unique, agreed with you before anything goes live, and runs on a rolling monthly basis unless we decide otherwise together.
Invoices are normally due on the 14th of each month. There’s a short grace period if life gets busy, but if payments go too long unpaid, your site may be paused, and old data cleared after 20 days. Clients who regularly miss payments may be asked to pay in advance.
We don’t allow hosting for illegal, abusive, or offensive material. Anything involving hacking, spam, malware, or cryptocurrency mining is out. Serious breaches may lead to your account being suspended or closed immediately.
Since all sites share the same infrastructure, extreme or unattended resource use can affect others. If your site starts to strain the system, we’ll usually get in touch to sort it, but heavy or unfair usage may be limited automatically. We take routine backups, though you should still keep your own copies for safety.
You’re responsible for using strong passwords, keeping plugins and themes secure, and following privacy and data protection rules (including GDPR).
We can suspend or cancel services for ongoing issues or non-payment. Refunds aren’t issued if the terms are broken. While we aim for stability, no system is perfect — we’re not liable for downtime, third-party plugin faults, or data loss.
If any disputes arise, we’ll try to resolve them informally first. If it needs to go further, Scottish civil law applies.
